Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill has been a staple among lakeside bars and restaurants for the last 15 years. The great location on the 34 Mile Marker, plus fabulous food and drinks and white-sand beaches galore make Captain Ron’s popular with boaters young and old. Visitors to Captain Ron’s enjoy the huge protected swimming area, the Adirondack chairs, the volleyball court, and the kids’ playground. The place is hopping on summer weekends, and is packed with lots to see and do during the Shootout.

And that’s not to mention the food! The LakeExpo team went out to try some of Captain Ron’s new signature dishes, and spoiler alert: they didn’t disappoint.

The Food

BBQ Pineapple Goat Cheese Pizza

This pizza is a BBQ lover's dream. With a perfect crust and a great BBQ sauce that will knock your socks off, Captain Ron’s does it right. The pineapple brings a sweetness to the burn of jalapeños, and the goat cheese adds a slight tang that completes the gourmand flair.

This Crab Roll truly is the perfect food to eat with a view of the white sand beaches at Captain Ron’s. With tender pieces of crab meat and a soft bread roll, this roll is delicious and hearty enough to fill you up! Delicious and tropical, you’ll want to order this one.

New Premium Salmon Salad

With crispy romaine and spinach, tart-and-sweet cranberries, and a sprinkling of feta cheese, this abundant salad is enough to feed two! And they’ll both be happy. The premium salmon salad is the way to go. And that says nothing of the tender and flavorful cut of salmon that tops it all off! 

 8-Ounce Filet with Scallops and a Baked Potato

This steak is out of this world! With a great char, a flavorful herbal rub and tender enough to be cut with a fork, you can’t get much better than this. The scallops make this plate next-level. Thick and juicy with a spicy kick at the end, they’re the perfect compliment to a great steak. And if that wasn’t enough, the baked potato loaded with bacon makes this meal enough for the hungriest boater.

You can’t go wrong with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s signature, small batch tequila! The Teremana on the “Rock” is smooth and sweet and brings together Teremana Tequila, agave, lime, pineapple juice and just a splash of OJ. It’s a truly unique cocktail with a great citrus mix.
