LACLEDE COUNTY, Mo. — A Stoutland man has pleaded guilty to two counts of First Degree Murder for killing his estranged wife and unborn child.

On November 3, 2026, Sidney F. Wilson V entered a guilty plea to two counts of Murder - 1st Degree in the Laclede County Circuit Court (26th Judicial Circuit), the Missouri State Highway Patrol says. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Monday, December 14, 2026.

Case Background

According to the probable cause statement, Lebanon police responded to a shots-fired call at a residence on June 5, 2025 where they found an unresponsive victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, later identified as Wilson V's estranged wife 21-year-old Reagan Lynn Wilson, died shortly after midnight the next day at Lebanon Mercy Hospital. Reagan Wilson was pregnant with their son Silas when she was killed; Silas died about a week later.

The Lebanon Chief of Police then requested assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol for the homicide investigation.

Evidence including camera footage of the suspect near the crime scene and sounds of gunshots, prior threats, a text from the victim, a tracking device on the victim's vehicle, and inconsistent statements pointed investigators to Wilson.

Members of Operation Relentless Pursuit located Wilson at a residence in Nixa and arrested him on July 31. Officers were assisted by the MSHP Drug & Crime Control, United States Marshals, Greene County Sheriff's Office, and Christian County Sheriff's Office.

The Laclede County Prosecuting Attorney charged Wilson with two counts of 1st Degree Murder and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.
