Lake of the Ozarks has stellar food, and every year one event decides who serves up the “Best Wings at the Lake.” WingFest returns Wednesday, Sept. 10, at The Regalia Hotel & Conference Center, where 14 area restaurants will battle for the title.

From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., guests can sample wings from some of the Lake’s favorite spots while supporting causes that make a difference in the community. The event is organized by Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks and the Lake Ozark Rotary-Noon Club, which launched the contest in 2000 as the Wing Ding. Now, it has grown into a staple late-summer tradition, drawing crowds poolside at The Regalia.

What makes WingFest unique is that every bite supports local charities. Proceeds are split between organizers, with Central Bank donating its portion to the Community Foundation of the Lake. This year, the Rotary Club will direct 50% of their proceeds to the Firefighters Benevolent Association, whose mission is to promote good will around the community and help firefighters and their families during hardships.

"I am proud to be a firefighter in this community, and a member of the Lake Ozark Rotary Noon-Club," said Osage Beach Deputy Fire Chief Steve Lucas, noting the FBA's gratefulness to be a primary benefactor of WingFest 2025.

Rotary Club president Janelle Stockstill added, "We are proud to support our Firefighters Benevolent Association. They provide numerous scholarships to area students as well as sponsor the Midwest Children's Burn Camp, SAFE Kids, and Missouri Firefighters Memorial Contributions."

Alongside the charitable mission is the competition. Various restaurants will bring their best recipes to the table, including HalfSauced BBQ, Twisted Tony’s, Shorty Pants, Tucker’s Shuckers, Old Kinderhook, Shady Gators, Paradise, Pappo’s, Bandanas, Neon Taco, The Encore, Franky & Louie’s, Redhead Yacht Club, and The Regalia itself.

Tickets are $25 at the door or $20 in advance at Central Bank. Guests can enjoy all-you-can-eat wings while casting votes for their favorites.

WingFest 2025 promises food, fun, and philanthropy all in one night. Don’t miss the chance to support local charities while enjoying some of the tastiest wings around. For details, visit WingFest's Facebook page.
