Tourists and full-timers alike can get a taste of the good life right here at Lake of the Ozarks, thanks to Margaritaville Lake Resort. It may not be in Jimmy Buffett's beloved Florida Keys, but the facilities and restaurants at the Margaritaville on Lake of the Ozarks' shores transport customers to vacation mode at this hotspot on the water.

While some of the resort's amenities are limited to Margaritaville guests, everyone is welcome to enjoy the restaurants! Whether it's a beachy waterfront scene, a poolside bar, or fine-dining with beautiful views, Margaritaville Lake Resort caters to every palette. It’s the perfect place for sunny summer days.

At the Flagship Complex, you’ll find three delicious restaurants: LandShark Bar & Grill, Tiki Hut Pool Bar, and Windrose Marker 26 Lakeside Dining.

With dock slips available at each location, boaters and drivers can easily access three of Margaritaville’s restaurants. The only conundrum is figuring out where to dine.

Before you pick, here are some menu items to consider:

What To Order At Margaritaville Lake Resort

“If life gives you limes, make margaritas.” - Jimmy Buffett

LandShark Bar & Grill

Seasonal: Open mid-March through October.

Margaritaville-LandShark-59.jpg

At LandShark, customers feel like they’re entering a surf shop. The bright yellow building is hard to miss. TVs play videos of boaters and surfers while the late Jimmy Buffett is heard over the speakers. This location serves up American beach food to love.

On beautiful days, enjoy it at the pool or on the sandy beach!

To Eat

Taco Nacho

Margaritaville-LandShark-47.jpg

Although these nachos are labeled as an appetizer, they could make a stellar meal! Crunchy tortilla chips are topped with ground beef, white queso, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream, jalapeños, guacamole, and taco sauce. The sauce adds a burst of flavor enhancing the meat while the jalapeños add some heat. Don’t worry, those are balanced by the sour cream and guac. Everything blends together for a perfect bite – do you really want to share?

Chef says this is the second-best seller on the menu!

Fish Tacos

Margaritaville-LandShark-37.jpg

By far the most popular item at LandShark. Three flour tortillas filled with blackened mahi, pico, and cilantro-lime cabbage are drizzled with sriracha mayo. These tacos are packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Add in chips and slightly chunky salsa on the side, and you’re on the beach!

Roasted Turkey Club

Margaritaville-LandShark-29.jpg

This is a massive, scrumptious sandwich. The triple-decker club – that means 3 toasted wheatberry bread slices – is packed with roasted turkey, smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a signature mayo. The sauce seals the deal on this elevated handheld. The housemade chips are also perfectly crisp and lightly seasoned! Pickle lovers will also love the dill that comes on the side.

To Drink

Lava Flow

Margaritaville-LandShark-44.jpg

Margaritaville Silver Rum is blended with strawberry and coconut purées for this sweet drink. The frozen concoction is perfect for hot days. If you like a Miami Vice, you’ll like this one!

***Blender Cups - Souvenir cups you can take home and reuse at Margaritaville! They cost $9 to start plus the cost of the drink. After that, add $4 to your favorite drinks to get refills in the 22 oz blender cup (this also works at the Tiki Hut).

Strawberry Moonshine

Margaritaville-LandShark-42.jpg

This has some zing! Always served on the rocks, Ole Smoky White Lightnin’ and Strawberry Moonshines are blended with the house margarita mix for a fun cocktail. Citrusy flavor from the mix ensures this drink isn’t overly sweet. The liquor isn’t overpowering either!

Havana Daydreamin’ Bloody Mary

Margaritaville-LandShark-34.jpg

A twist on a classic! Havana Club Añejo Clásico Rum and the house Bloody Mary is topped with candied bacon, a lime wheel, pineapple wedge, and a celery stalk. The dark rum base makes this cocktail smooth. Can’t forget the bacon salt rim!

Tiki Hut

Seasonal: Open seven days a week, Memorial Day until September.

Margaritaville-Tiki Hut-08.jpg

When you’re looking to lounge by the pool for a few hours, the Tiki Hut is the place to be. You can order food and drinks poolside, for that amazing resort experience.

Margaritaville-Tiki Hut-20.jpg

A slide for the kids and lots of chairs make this a great family option. It’s even a great place to hang if you’re waiting on a table at LandShark!

Tiki Burger

Margaritaville-Tiki Hut-23.jpg

These cooked-to-order, thick-patty burgers hit just right. Topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and American cheese, Jimmy Buffett said it best, it’s a “cheeseburger in paradise.” Thin-cut fries round out this poolside meal.

Tropicobb Salad

Margaritaville-Tiki Hut-30.jpg

Wanting something on the lighter side? Go with the Tropicobb! Spring mix with cherry tomatoes, diced chicken, mango, avocado, red onions, cucumbers, and a blueberry pomegranate vinaigrette make for a fresh and slightly sweet meal option. Margaritaville doesn’t skimp on the toppings either, like the yummy tender chicken!

Rainbow Cake

Margaritaville-Tiki Hut-35.jpg

What’s a vacation without dessert? Bright colors show off this delicious vanilla cake. The slice is soft and moist with rich icing, plus whipped cream and strawberries are also plated with it! While the sweet dessert comes in a large, shareable slice, you may just eat it all yourself!

To Drink

License to Chill

Margaritaville-Tiki Hut-40.jpg

This drink is aptly named. Whether you get it on the rocks or frozen, Margaritaville Silver Tequila, Blue Curacao, and the house margarita blend make the perfect sweet and sour cocktail.

5 O’Clock Somewhere

Margaritaville-Tiki Hut-38.jpg

It’s time to relax and enjoy the summer! Just look at these ingredients: Silver rum, Paradise Passion Fruit Tequila, Hurricane Proof Rum, orange and pineapple juice, house sweet and sour, and a splash of grenadine. It looks like a lot of liquor, but it tastes like a smooth fruit punch.

LandShark Island Lager

Margaritaville-Tiki Hut-45.jpg

It’s crisp. It’s citrusy. It’s best on a hot day. The lite lager leaves a nice aftertaste for those wanting a beer. People who like Boulevard Wheat will like this!

Windrose Marker 26 Lakeside Dining

Seasonal: Open Memorial Day to Labor Day, Dinner-only, closed Tuesday/Wednesday

Margaritaville-Windrose-03.jpg

While Margaritaville Lake Resort embodies island vibes, that doesn’t mean everything is casual. Windrose Marker 26 Lakeside Dining is the fine dining option that still overlooks the Lake and has dock slips available. Its intimate space makes for a lovely romantic evening.

Reservations are recommended either online at Open Table or calling 573-348-3131.

To Eat

Jumbo Crab Cake

Margaritaville-Windrose-31.jpg

What a way to start your dining experience. The entire bite is enjoyable from the crispy outer edge to the soft center. Herb oil and lemon add freshness while the Louie Sauce really takes the cake, enhancing the crab flavor with spices.

Bone-In Ribeye

Margaritaville-Windrose-19.jpg

For an entree, consider this: 16 oz of perfectly cooked steak grilled to your preference and simply seasoned with sea salt and black pepper. This is served with asparagus and and truffle-whipped potatoes.

Chocolate Trio

Margaritaville-Windrose-16.jpg

And finally, dessert. This stack features three chocolates: white, milk, and dark for a rich and decadent ending. The cake is topped with mousse that is oh so soft. Chocolate grass, s’more powder, and pirouettes add more chocolaty texture.

To Drink

Caymus

Margaritaville-Windrose-38.jpg

Wine from this vineyard has a signature style – dark in color with rich fruit and ripe tannins – that is great no matter the year. Their cabernet sauvignon is the primary production in Napa Valley. Caymus is a luxurious choice, great for pairing with the hearty ribeye!

Knob Creek

Margaritaville-Windrose-25.jpg

You won't find this anywhere else. The 2014 Knob Creek Single Barrel was hand selected for Margaritaville Lake Resort! Whether you take it straight on the rocks, or use it in an old fashioned, this 135 proof bourbon is an excellent option.

The Rose

Margaritaville-Windrose-11.jpg

And the cocktails! The Rose is an elevated drink featuring Ketel One Grapefruit & Rose vodka with Cointreau and Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice. Subtle flavors work together for a hint of sweetness.

It can be hard finding a restaurant that caters to every mood and palette, but having three options all in a central location is hard to beat! Whether you’re docking a boat or driving in, Margaritaville Lake Resort is the perfect destination for a taste of paradise – from the beachy LandShark to the poolside Tiki Hut to the upscale Windrose.
