CAMDENTON, Mo. — When fire struck the Pebble Bay Club Grill over Memorial Day weekend, no one knew if the restaurant would reopen. Now the owners have not only announced a rebuild, but uninterrupted events this summer too.Â
Pebble Bay debuted in 2024, and just two years later, a fire would render the restaurant a total loss. Initially it only damaged the north end of the club, before reigniting 24 hours later.
"But this is not where our story ends," founders Joe and Michelle Sweeney said. "We have made a commitment to serve this community. As we execute our plan to rebuild, we very much hope our neighbors, patrons, and travelers will stand with us in support."
Reconstruction is expected to take several months, missing the crucial summer season, but Pebble Bay has pivoted to an open-air, festival setting. And last weekend they were able to reopen their food and beverage services via vehicles and outdoor bars.Â
Guests can still enjoy recreational amenities and lodge at Pebble Bay's rental homes at Old Kinderhook. There will be live music every weekend all summer long as well.Â
Visit Pebble Bay Club Grill & Resort Friday-Sunday at 11 a.m. on the 12 Mile Marker of the Big Niangua or at 100 Pebble Bay Club Drive in Camdenton.Â
