LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A Camdenton area restaurant was seriously damaged by fire in the early hours of Monday, May 25.
At 2:51 a.m., Mid County Fire Protection District was called out to the Pebble Bay Club Restaurant, off Good Neighbors Road west of Camdenton. As crews responded, they reported seeing flames and smoke from several miles away.
When they arrived, they found about 25% of the building was engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes and crews remained on the scene for two more hours extinguishing remaining hot spots.
The State Fire Marshal was contacted to help investigate the cause and origin of the fire, due to the size of the incident. MCFPD says the restaurant suffered “extensive fire, smoke, and water damage” but reported there were no injuries.
MCFPD responded with 2 Engines, 4 Tankers, a Squad and a fire boat and was assisted by Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, Lake Ozark, Southwest, and Northwest fire protection districts as well as Camden Ambulance.
