Sixty summers. Thousands of stories. And one couple who treats every guest like family.

Point Randall Resort is turning 60 this year, but don’t expect a slow stroll into retirement. Tucked into a mile-long cove on the 2 Mile Marker, the family-owned resort keeps the nostalgic charm while making improvements every year. It’s the kind of place that’s watched generations grow up—and then come back with generations of their own.

At the heart of it all are Michael and Paulette Spriggs, who’ve owned and operated the resort for the past 22 years. When they bought the business from Michael's family, they embraced a legacy.

“The Lake was built on small family resorts, and you still get that feeling here,” Paulette said. “That true family vacation exists—and it's fun, safe, and a place where people take care of each other.”

Point Randall Resort is located at 1584 Susan Rd, Lake Ozark. Book a stay close to restaurants, shopping, and attractions, with unbeatable customer service!

Michael grew up at the resort after his parents took over in 1980. Now he and Paulette raise their kids there too, ensuring visitors can relax, reconnect, and repeat their stay year after year.

“We’ve had guests whose kids learned to fish off our docks, and now they’re bringing their grandkids,” Paulette said. "Some families have been coming here for over 30 years and haven't missed a year."

A mix of old-fashioned hospitality and modern convenience is what makes Point Randall so enduring.

Whether guests bring a boat or rent one at the resort, enjoying the Lake life is easy. There are covered, padded slips across four docks—each with electrical hookups and sizes ranging from 10x24 to 14x36—plus tritoons, paddleboards, kayaks, and floating “chill rafts” available.

And onsite is a gas dock and C-store for snacks, sunscreen, fuel, and even a discount for bulk gas buys. Anglers aren't left out either—Point Randall is one of the few resorts that rents fishing boats, and has a covered fishing dock.

Beyond the Lake, there's plenty to keep families entertained. The heated pool is a favorite for all ages, and little ones can burn off energy on the sand-based playground while parents relax nearby.

Just imagine mornings sipping coffee, afternoons floating in the sun, and evenings around the grill, perhaps connecting with neighbors. And should guests need anything, the Spriggs are on the property and ready to take care of it.

“We really get to know people," Paulette said. "Guests even send us Christmas cards or gifts anytime something happens, which is really neat.”

While the Lake of the Ozarks has exploded with luxury homes and party coves, Point Randall keeps its focus on something simpler: creating a calm, family-friendly place that makes people want to come back.

That commitment hasn’t gone unnoticed. Many weekends and summer weeks book up fast—sometimes a year in advance—and the resort has become a home base for reunions, fishing tournaments, anniversaries, and more.

But there's still a few openings! Book your stay at Point Randall today by calling 573-365-2081.

Because at Point Randall, you’re not just booking a room—you’re joining the story.
