Missouri’s law enforcement community gathered at the State Capitol in Jefferson City over the weekend to honor six fallen officers, including Osage Beach Police Officer Phylicia Carson.
Her name, along with three others who died in the line of duty in 2024, was added to the Missouri Law Enforcement Memorial Wall of Honor.
Officer Carson’s family placed white carnations in a wreath during the ceremony. They were joined by Osage Beach Police Chief Todd Davis, Lt. Michael O'Day, Det. Sgt. Brian Salerno, Sgt. Joel Shelton and Cpl. Pete Leyva.
A candlelight vigil was held Friday night, and the Capitol dome was lit in blue through the weekend. Two officers who died more than a century ago were also formally recognized for their service.
