OSAGE BEACH, Mo. – Get ready for a monstrously good time as Dragon Lake Productions brings Phantom of the Main Street Opry to Main Street Music Hall this October!
Bursting with colorful characters, live music, retro flair, high-energy performances, and hilarious mayhem, this all-new original musical promises entertainment for the entire family.
Written by longtime local entertainer and playwright Tim Williams, Phantom of the Main Street Opry marks his third original production and the second brand-new original musical presented by Dragon Lake Productions in 2026, following this summer's pirate adventure, Trial of the Tide.
The story begins when Vlad the Vampire and his outrageous gang of monster friends take over Main Street Music Hall. But their plans for fun quickly unravel when they discover the theater is already occupied by a mysterious and demanding Phantom who has very different ideas about what belongs on stage.
As chaos erupts, an unlikely team of kids joins the adventure to uncover the Phantom's identity and solve the mystery before the entire production falls apart.
Featuring a talented cast of local performers, lively musical numbers, comedy, and a nostalgic retro atmosphere, the show combines the spirit of classic monster movies with the excitement of live musical theater.
“Creating original productions with local talent is an important part of what we're building at Main Street Music Hall,” said Dragon Lake Productions. “We're bringing our community together to create something new, full of energy, laughter, and the kind of live entertainment that audiences of all generations can enjoy.”
The production continues Dragon Lake Productions' mission to keep the nearly 40-year-old Main Street Music Hall alive and thriving. Operated by a local nonprofit organization, the theater is once again becoming a home for original productions, visiting entertainers, and opportunities for performers throughout the Lake of the Ozarks region.
Performances of Phantom of the Main Street Opry are scheduled for October 23, 24, 25, 30, and November 1.
Whether you're young, young at heart, or just looking for a fun Halloween outing, this family-friendly musical delivers plenty of laughs, surprises, music, and monster-sized entertainment.
