Stormy Skies At The Lake

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Powerful winds ripped docks from their anchors, toppled trees, downed power lines and tore off metal roofing and siding across the Lake area on Saturday.

Residents reported trees were blown over on Lakeview Drive in Camdenton and in Macks Creek. According to the homeowner on Lakeview Drive, a tree fell in between two houses, barely missing both of them.

Among the docks dislodged by wind was a large dock at Spinnaker Point Condos, on the 1 Mile Marker of the north shore. The dock was blown toward nearby docks in the cove, with the ramp submerged, about 100 feet away from its shoreline anchor point.
