MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. — A serious crash on Highway 50 left a Russellville man hospitalized on Friday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Shane Randall was driving a 2012 Ford Mustang east on Highway 50 when he ran into the back of a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by 21-year-old Matthew Leigh, of O’Fallon, Mo. The crash happened at around 3:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5. The collision pushed the Camry off the right side of the road, causing it to hit two road signs and a guardrail.

Authorities say both vehicles were totaled in the crash, and Randall sustained moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Capital Regional Hospital for treatment.
