VIDEO: Demolition Blast Clears The Way For Massive New Lake Of The Ozarks Parking Garage

  • 1 min to read

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — There'll be nothing like it at Lake of the Ozarks: the construction of a new, six-level parking garage is under way in Osage Beach.

The garage will serve The Oasis at Lakeport, the new $400 million entertainment complex currently under construction next to the Grand Glaize Bridge. The Oasis will include an open-to-the-public amusement and entertainment park, an indoor waterpark, and a Marriott hotel and conference center, according to developer Jeff Tegethoff.

On Thursday, June 6, Osage Beach Mayor Michael Harmison got the chance to trigger the blasts for the new parking garage, which is planned to hold approximately 800 vehicles. Two levels of the garage will be below-ground, with four above-ground.

A drone video of the blast is above.

Developers expect the Oasis to draw 600,000 annual visitors and generate $100 million in annual revenue.
