CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — Two people from Butler were injured in a single vehicle crash on Highway 5 Thursday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 28-year-old man was driving a Dodge Ram 3500 around 6:14 p.m., May 21, when it went off the road, hit a sign, and started overturning. But the Dodge crossed the roadway and hit another sign, traveling off the left side and going down an embankment near Sellers Road.

The driver, and a 26-year-old female passenger, were reportedly not wearing seatbelts during the crash. He was moderately injured while she sustained serious injuries.

Lake West EMS transported both of them to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.

Dependable Towing removed the Dodge, which had extensive damage, from the scene.
