OSAGE BEACH, Mo. -- An Osage Beach Police patrol car was totaled early Friday morning in a crash on the snow-covered Grand Glaize Bridge.
The police car was parked on the Grand Glaize Bridge with emergency lights activated, when the vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer. The officer, who was assisting with an earlier crash involving another tractor-trailer, was not inside the vehicle at the time.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
Residents are urged to stay off the roads to allow snowplows to clear streets. Updates are available on the city’s website and Facebook page.
Osage Beach City Hall delayed opening due to extreme winter weather but is now operating with reduced staff.
