New Outdoor Pool Amphitheater At Lake Of The Ozarks Could Be Open Before Summer Ends

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — At the back of Backwater Jacks' cove, a new amphitheater is under construction, and it will be unlike anything else in the world: a waterfront live music venue with five levels of swimming pools and decks.

The name of the venue will be Level5 (with the "5" stylized to make the word look like "LEVELS"), and spokesperson Andy Prewitt says if everything goes as planned, they hope to welcome visitors before the end of the summer.

Included in this project is the newly completed Beach Drive road improvements to help access the new amphitheater and help provide access for emergency vehicles. Now that Beach Drive is finished and opened, the Prewitts are focusing their attention to getting the new pool music venue open.

The project spans across multiple acres and includes a new parking lot that itself is 7.5 acres.

Because of the venue's unique pool layout combined with stage area and standing area, Prewitt said it is difficult to say what the overall capacity will be. To help accommodate they’ve added additional boat slips across the cove from Backwater Jacks and are paving hundreds of additional parking spaces.

If the venue is able to open before summer's end, Prewitt said he's looking forward to hosting some local and smaller acts, with bigger bookings expected in 2025.
