Heat Advisory - Sun - Heat - Hot - Temperature - Thermometer

Record temperatures are on tap for Missouri, on Thursday, March 26.

The National Weather Service is calling for a high temperature of 92 degrees at Lake of the Ozarks. The previous record high-temp for March 26 was 83 degrees, and was set in 2020.

The heat and accompanying wind and low humidity is expected to create dangerous fire conditions. Much of the area from the Texas panhandle to southern Montana was under a Red Flag Warning on Wednesday, as the heat wave blasted across the Great Plains.

Temperatures are expected to cool off Friday, with an overnight low Friday night of 33 degrees.
