LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Powerful storms that blew through the Lake area on Friday evening downed trees and damaged property across the region.

Though a Tornado Warning was issued, no tornadoes have been confirmed by the National Weather Service. It appears the main damaging storm activity came from high winds.

On the Lake, the roof was ripped off a portion of Shady Gators bar and at least one dock was tossed upside-down by the winds, around the 8 Mile Marker.

The town of Stover was battered by the storms, with many in the region reporting power outages and significant damage.

The storm left cooler weather in its wake, but temperatures are expected to be pleasant for the coming week.
