Groundbreaking for ALDI in Camdenton

CAMDENTON, Mo. — It's official: ALDI is opening its second store at Lake of the Ozarks. The City of Camdenton this week announced the groundbreaking of a new 20,000-square-foot ALDI grocery store.

The new ALDI will be located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 54 and Jack Crowell Road, directly across from Culver’s. The location will provide convenient access for Camdenton residents and visitors traveling through the community.

In a press release about the development, the City said the new store marks "another significant investment in the community and [strengthens] Camdenton’s position as a regional destination for shopping, dining, and economic development."

Excavation for the new store began September 15, 2026, with construction expected to continue through 2027 and the store anticipated to open in Fall 2027.

Representatives from the City of Camdenton, Camdenton Investments, WC Properties, Emery Sapp & Sons, and Heritage Bank were on hand to commemorate the beginning of construction. Those attending included City Administrator Jeff Hooker, Mayor John McNabb, Austin Craddock of Camdenton Investments, John and Gene Williams of WC Properties, representatives of Emery Sapp & Sons, the excavation contractor, and Alan West of Heritage Bank.

“The City of Camdenton is excited to welcome ALDI to our community,” said Mayor John McNabb. “This investment represents another positive step in the continued growth of Camdenton and will provide an additional shopping option for our residents and the many visitors who come to the Lake of the Ozarks.”

“We are proud to see construction begin on this project and look forward to welcoming ALDI to Camdenton,” said City Administrator Jeff Hooker. “The addition of a nationally recognized grocery retailer is an exciting opportunity for our community and adds to the diversity and strength of our local economy.”
