LAKE OZARK, Mo. — A Columbia woman came to the Lake of the Ozarks to sell drugs, police say, but she is now behind bars.

According to the Lake Ozark Police Department, 54-year-old Joyce Whitney was arrested on Thursday afternoon, in a joint effort between the Mid Missouri Drug Task force and the LOPD. Police say an investigation had revealed Whitney was in the area possibly selling drugs, which led to her arrest.

Police say they found around 200 grams of crystal meth, 10 grams of cocaine, as well as Oxycontin and Hydrocodone in Whitney’s possession when she was arrested.

Whitney has several drug convictions in Boone County and is currently on probation and parole. She is being held at the Miller County Jail, pending charges.
