MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. —  Two women and a child were hospitalized Friday evening following a crash at the intersection of Highway 52 and Highway 5.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Kaylene Kilmer, of Fortuna, Mo., was driving a 2003 Buick Lesabre eastbound on Highway 52 when she attempted to make a left-hand turn onto north Highway 5. Kilmer reportedly turned into the path of a westbound 2005 Ford F-150 driven by 27-year-old Samuel Cummins, of Versailles. The ensuing collision caused the Buick to spin and hit a 2010 Chevy Silverado driven by 19-year-old Jakob Halphin, of Oak Grove, Mo., which was stopped at the stop sign on Highway 5, the Patrol reported.

Kilmer and a seven-year-old child in her vehicle were injured; the child’s injuries were moderate while Kilmer’s were classified as “minor” by the Patrol. Both were taken to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment. A passenger in the Ford F-150, 32-year-old Mattie James, of Versailles, sustained minor injuries, according to the report, but refused medical treatment.
