MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. — Four people from Jefferson City were injured on Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 5.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a 32-year-old woman was driving a Jeep Renegade and attempted to turn on Hwy 5 from Route J around 11:42 a.m., July 4.

Troopers say she failed to yield to a Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound, driven by a 30-year-old man from Gravois Mills. The man then reportedly attempted to avoid the Jeep by turning into the northbound lanes. The Jeep had almost turned when the truck struck it head on.

The woman, and three occupants including a 4-year-old boy, where all taken via ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital with minor to moderate injuries. The Lake-area man was reportedly uninjured.

Both vehicles were totaled and removed by Garber Diesel.
