OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — The 20th Annual Home Tour, presented by Newcomers/Longtimers will feature selected homes in Woodland Cove and Nichols Point next month, while raising funds for local charities, organizations, and scholarships.
The tour is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Home Tour Chair, Terri Hall, and her committee are busy with preparations to feature the selected homes. “The six homes featured are not only beautiful but also offer a variety of unique qualities and décor,” the group said in a press release.
Newcomers/Longtimers is a social group of women who are full and part-time residents at the Lake and who wish to give back to their community. Over the last 20 years, the Home Tour has become a popular annual benefit in the Lake area and has raised more than $235,000 for local charities, organizations and scholarships. Residents from local and regional areas as well as visitors from Chicago, Des Moines, Kansas City, and St. Louis—among others—travel to the Lake annually and spend the third weekend in May each year shopping, lodging, eating and touring the homes on display.
Participants may purchase tickets in advance for $20 at the following outlets: Central Bank of the Lake of the Ozarks (all locations), First National Bank (all locations), Shawnee Bluff Winery & Vineyards, Lake Regional Health System (Foundation Office), Bank Star One, (HH and HyVee), Bella Donna Salon, Country Crossroads, Paul’s Supermarket (all locations), Saffees at Stonecrest Mall; Stonecrest Book and Toys at Stonecrest Mall, Village Market and Café on MM and Wood’s Supermarket.
Tickets purchased at Headquarters at Osage Beach City Hall on tour day (May 17) are $25. A ticket is required for children over 2 years of age.
All participants receive a Home Tour Book in addition to a wristband, which must be worn to access the homes. Home tour books and wristbands may be picked up at Headquarters (City Hall) on Saturday, May 17 beginning at 9:45 a.m. The Book includes directions to the homes, a map, and picture of each home with a brief description. Advance ticket holders may use the drive-thru “Express Lane” at headquarters to obtain their book and wristbands.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Citizens Against Domestic Violence (CADV), The Marine Corps League and Newcomers/Longtimers Scholarship Fund: awarded to qualified students at Columbia College pursuing degrees in Business Administration and Education.
This year’s tour is sponsored by Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks, First National Bank and Shawnee Bluff Winery & Vineyards.
