Two People Untied All The Rental Boats At A Marina On Lake Of The Ozarks

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Two people were caught on a security camera as they untied all the rental boats — and a customer's boat — at Pointe Oasis Marina, last week.

On Sunday night, June 4, at around 10:30 p.m. security camera footage reveals a male and female untying rental boats at the marina's dock.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called and the two individuals were contacted to explain themselves. According to Pointe Oasis personnel, there were no charges filed and all the boats were retrieved. They told Lake Expo both the male and female were former employees, noting this was the first time something like this had happened.

Pointe Oasis staff says they're just relieved none of their boats floated away from the dock. In a Facebook post, they wrote, "The consequences of these irresponsible actions could have been devastating putting us out of business or worse causing a fatal accident if one of these dark, unmanned boats had drifted out into the main channel."
