Flames engulfed a 120-foot yacht off the MacArthur Causeway, which connects downtown Miami to South Beach, Wednesday night.

Miami Fire Rescue responded to reports of a boat fire at 888 MacArthur Causeway at the Island Gardens Marina on Watson Island.

The 120-foot luxury yacht is reportedly owned by Grammy Award winning singer and entertainer Marc Anthony.

Flames and smoke from the burning yacht, named Andiamo, could be seen for several miles. The Andiamo, worth about $7 million, is owned by Anthony, according to the tabloid news website TMZ. The yacht has five cabins, satellite television and docking stations for several personal watercraft, TMZ reported.

The vessel began capsizing late Wednesday night and firefighters remained at the scene Thursday morning to monitor the yacht.

Miami Fire Capt. Ignatius Carroll said it took firefighters nearly two hours to get the blaze under control. Both Miami Fire Rescue and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue used their fireboats to douse the fire.

Carroll said no other vessels were damaged and no injuries were reported.

The boat, however, suffered severe damage.

“This boat right now is partially under water,” Carroll said.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
