LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — A late-night boating excursion ended in flames, when a ski boat caught fire at around 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 2002 Ski Pro Extreme was being driven by 25-year-old Jessica Webb, of Sunrise Beach, around the 9.9 Mile Marker, when the boat starting having problems. Authorities suspect the issue was electrical, but the cause has not been officially determined. The boat was quickly engulfed in flames, passengers later told authorities. Webb and the other two people on board jumped into the water and safely swam to shore.

The boat burned to the waterline, and was towed to shore by Lake Tow.
