The Lake of the Ozarks region faces an enhanced risk for severe storms Friday, with the most dangerous conditions expected between 4 and 7 p.m.
The Missouri State Emergency Management Agency warns that strong, fast-moving tornadoes—potentially EF2 or stronger—are becoming a growing concern.
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning and a Red Flag Warning from 10 a.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday. Wind gusts could reach 60 mph, increasing the risk of wildfires and property damage.
Residents should stay alert, heed all warnings, and be prepared to take shelter quickly.
