LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — The Oasis at Lakeport project continues to move forward, and developers have released video of recent blasting, as they carve the footprint for the lakefront amusement park into the rocky Ozarks hillside.

Skyview Partners and Tegethoff Development are running the project.

Jeff Tegethoff, of Tegethoff Development, says the seismometers at the Grand Glaize Bridge and surrounding infrastructure showed no disturbance at all, at the time of the blast.

Tegethoff said there will be additional blasting in the near future.

Tegethoff recently told a room of nearly 100 real estate professionals that Oasis at Lakeport — a park with entertainment, a roller coaster, food and drink, and a giant ferris wheel — will be free to enter. Once inside, guests will purchase wristbands to use for everything from food to the ferris wheel, he explained.

The park will also feature an indoor waterpark: 40,000 square feet, fully glass-enclosed, with a retractable roof.

Tegethoff was one of the keynote speakers at the annual Lake of the Ozarks Real Estate Symposium, put on by RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks.

“We really wanted to focus on family-focused entertainment,” he said of his initial brainstorm with the property owner Fred Ross. “There’s been a lot of great development at the Lake. But let’s face it, most of those developments are adult-focused. Kids pools are an afterthought.”

The amusement park is on track to open in the spring of 2025, and an on-site Marriott hotel is set to open in 2026.
