CAMDENTON, Mo. — An early morning fire caused significant damage to Marty’s Bar and Grill in Camdenton on Tuesday.
Mid-County Fire Protection District crews were dispatched to the commercial structure fire in the 1100 block of South Business Route 5 at approximately 3:58 a.m., Oct. 27. The first unit arrived four minutes later and found heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the building.
Firefighters began suppression efforts and established a water supply using tanker shuttle operations. The fire was brought under control, and crews remained on scene conducting salvage and overhaul operations to extinguish hot spots and check for concealed fire.
The building was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. Mid-County said the building sustained significant fire and smoke damage.
Several neighboring agencies assisted, including the Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, Southwest Camden County, Lake Ozark, and Northwest fire protection districts. Camden County Ambulance District also responded.
An investigator with the Missouri Division of Fire Safety was called to the scene to investigate the origin and cause of the fire.
As of Tuesday, the cause remained undetermined and the fire was still under investigation.
