Viola Jane Hicks (February 5, 1947 - March 19, 2017)

Viola Jane Hicks, age 70, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born February 5, 1947, a daughter of the late Hiram E. and Alma Lorene (Monteer) Woods.

She was united in marriage to Ronald Bowen who preceded her in death on May 16, 1964. Later, she married Ronald Morgan and together they had a daughter, Ronda. He preceded her in death in May of 1972. She later married Donnie Hicks and they had a son, Randy.

Jane was employed at Fasco in Eldon for fourteen years until her retirement.

She attended the Family Worship Center in Versailles.

Jane loved her family and treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Ronda (Jason) Chappell and their children, Jacob, Mason and Morgan and Randy (Molly) Hicks and their children, Zachary, Tres, Kenzi and Lexi all of Laurie, Missouri; her sisters, Mary Lou Silvey of Jefferson City, Missouri, Shirley (Darrell) Akin of Rowlett, Texas, Judy (Gary) Dunnaway of Laurie, Missouri, Melva Stevens of Independence, Missouri, Brenda (Danny) Owsley of Versailles, Missouri and Lisa (Mark) Lacer of Forest Hill, Missouri and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Dawn Woods.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 23rd, at the Family Worship Center in Versailles with Reverend Danny Owsley officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Windsor, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, P.O. Box 26, Versailles, Missouri 65084, to assist the family with expenses. 

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
