Myra Kathryn Henson Obituary
Myra Kathryn “Kathy” Henson was born on June 1, 1954, in Tuscumbia, Missouri, to Robert and Ruby Hollandsworth. She was the granddaughter of Otie Forbes and Argus Rogers on her maternal side, and Hobert and Myra Hollandsworth on her paternal side.
Kathy graduated from Camdenton R-III Schools and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree. She had a genuine love for teaching others and sharing her knowledge. She was passionate about helping others and supporting many charitable organizations, especially St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which held a special place in her heart.
Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished her family and friends, and she was deeply loved in return. Her kindness, generosity, and love for others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul Henson of the home; her son, Ethan Henson (Trish) of Sedalia, Missouri; her daughter, Melanie Henson of Montreal; her grandson, Zaden Russavage; and her granddaughter, Arwen Russavage, both of Montreal, Missouri.
She is also survived by her six siblings: Dale Hollandsworth (Karen) of Richland; Marsha Hanks (Steven) of Eldon; Stephen Hollandsworth (Debbie) of Linn Creek; Debbie Richter (Andy) of Eldon; Gayle Spautz (Cliff) of Grapevine, Texas; and Alice Jones (Richard) of Waynesville; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and 15 brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Kathy’s love for her family, her compassion for others, and her willingness to share her knowledge and kindness made a lasting impact on the lives of those around her. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received for a visitation Friday, October 9, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 1270 South Business Route 5 Camdenton, MO, with a funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at James Percival Cemetery in Linn Creek, Missouri.
Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Kid’s Harbor in Osage Beach.
