Mark Alan Keppler Obituary
Mark Alan Keppler, 61, of Camdenton, MO passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO.
Mark was born on July 16, 1965 in St Louis, MO the son of Francis and Marjorie (Eagleson) Keppler who preceded him in death. He was a proud graduate of Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, MO, Class of 1983. Following graduation, Mark answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy, where he served as a hospital corpsman. He proudly served until his honorable discharge in 1992, when he returned home to help care for his mother, demonstrating the deep love and devotion he held for his family.
After returning home, Mark married Sharon, and together they moved to Columbia, MO, where he began a career at Boone Hospital as a cardiovascular interventional specialist. He dedicated himself to his work and to helping others, serving in this role until 2002. During their years in Columbia, they welcomed two daughters, Kayla and Kelsey, who became an important part of his life and his greatest source of pride.
On August 16, 2003, at Lake Ozark, MO, Mark married the love of his life, Denise Hathaway. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, family, and cherished memories. They welcomed a son, Ethan, completing their family and bringing even more joy into his life.
His career continued at the Lake of the Ozarks, where he accepted a position with Biotronik as a medical sales specialist, a role he held until 2022 before going to work at Lake Regional Hospital as a cardiovascular interventional specialist, continuing his commitment to the medical field and the people he served throughout his career.
While he took pride in his work, his greatest happiness came from the simple pleasures of life and the people he loved. Mark enjoyed fishing, spending time on the lake, and being outdoors whenever he could. He was an amazing cook who could make a meal special and prepare some of the best food around. Sharing good food with family and friends was one of the many ways he showed his love.
Mark treasured traveling with Denise and their family, making memories together and enjoying the sunshine, sand, and, of course, a cold beer on the beach. Another great joy was being a grandpa to his two beloved granddaughters. He absolutely adored them, and they brought a special kind of happiness into his life. The love he had for them was immeasurable, and being their grandpa was a role he cherished with all his heart. He kept a small circle of friends, but those he welcomed into his life were more than friends—they were family.
His legacy lives on through his family, the friendships he treasured, the lives he touched throughout his career, and the countless memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Denise Keppler; two daughters, Kayla Morgan (Tanner) and Kelsey Keppler; one son, Ethan Keppler; two granddaughters, Blayke Morgan and Maci Morgan and several cousins and friends. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy McKibbon and mother-in-law, Jerry Hathaway.
