Gary Allen Jackson Obituary

Gary Allen Jackson, 77, passed away on November 2nd, 2026 at Arrowhead Senior Living in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born on August 9th, 1949 in Columbia MO, to Rosie and Andrew Jackson.

Gary graduated from Hickman High School in 1967, then started his career as an Arborist working for Rodney Smith Tree Service before becoming an esteemed Lineman for General Telephone for 35 years . He married Patricia Smith on August 30th 1980, and together they have 2 children Patrick and Stefani. Gary retired from the United States Army Reserves after 35 plus years of service. Gary was a proud member of the Rising Sun Lodge Number 164 and

faithfully served his community for over 40 years.

Gary is survived by his wife Patricia and their two children Patrick (Crystal) of San Jose California and Stefani (Adam) Watson of Columbia Missouri, as well 3 grandchildren Phoenix, Xzavier and Salem.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother Rosie “Piggy” Jackson and his father Andrew “Buddy” Jackson, two sisters Ila Fern Guthrie and Andrea Jackson, his nephew David “Scooter” Richard, and also his great friends Sherman Brown Jr. and Burch Stemmons.

There will be a Celebration of Life Saturday November 7th at Rising Sun Loge #164 located at 2100 Burlington St Columbia Missouri from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassus Hospice Care in Osage Beach.
