LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — The day after the “No Wake” restriction was lifted at the Lake of the Ozarks, a Monroe City woman was injured because of a boat wake.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 55-year-old Wuanita Hathaway was riding in a 1993 Webbcraft runabout driven by Marvin Hathaway. The boat hit a wake and Wuanita flew out of her seat and then landed back in it, the MSHP reported. She sustained moderate injuries as a result, and was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
