OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — A parking lot that collapsed at Lake of the Ozarks in September has been repaired on the shoreline.Â
On Sept. 23, a concrete wall at Ozark Oaks Apartments broke off into the Lake, including a portion of the parking lot with cars near the edge. Thankfully all were towed away safely.Â
The complex, located around the 19 Mile Marker on Links Road, was on the hook for clean up and rebuilding according to Ameren. Sources told LakeExpo that the reconstruction of the parking lot was finished last week.Â
Rock and rip rap have completely replaced the wall along the property, which included the removal of a tree. Fresh pavement now covers the the lot in front of the apartments.Â
The rip rap should help protect the area from erosion and last for decades.Â
