LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Voters granted the School of the Osage school district its sought-after bond issue on Tuesday, and brought a new face into the district’s board of education.
As a result of the bond issue's passage, citizens living in the School of the Osage district will see an increase to their property taxes. The district has said a person with a $100,000 home will see a tax increase of $24.51.
With the new bond money, the district plans to add onto its Heritage Building, a move it says will expand classroom space. It will also upgrade security features on the existing campuses.
On the school board, Barbara ("B.J.") Page was re-elected to her position, and Dale E. Law was elected to serve on the board.
