We're one step closer to Ozark season four as filming for the season is finally complete.
After being delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic, fans have been waiting for more than a year for the end of the series. But finally, filming is over and the show is moving into the next stages of production. Media journalists were tipped off after learning that the cast of the Netflix series celebrated the end of filming at the official wrap party.
Season Four is the final season of the show and fans are waiting with bated breath for how the show will tie up loose ends. Season Three ended with many tense storylines still unresolved from the fate of Marty and Wendy’s marriage to what’s coming next with the Navarro cartel.
And although filming has wrapped, the official release date hasn’t been announced yet. Netflix has only said it will be 2022.
In May 2020, Netflix announced that Ozark was one of the streaming service’s best-performing original series on its Season 3 premiere day—March 27—and drew an average minute audience of 8.7 million viewers for its first 10 days. The crime drama almost tripled its Season 2 premiere day audience and doubled that season’s 10-day total.
The show got plenty of nods in the 2020 Emmy's, too. Ozark was nominated for 18 awards, including drama series, lead actor (Jason Bateman) and lead actress (Laura Linney). The show only ended up winning one award, however: Best Supporting Actress, Drama went to Julia Garner.
