A local group working to stop sex trafficking will be meeting with a woman who worked in one of the world's largest red-light districts, trying to help those affected by the sex trade.

The Lake of the Ozarks Stop Human Trafficking Coalition will have its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, with the Director of NightLight Branson as the guest speaker.

As the Missouri branch of NightLight International, NightLight Branson is “compelled by love to reach out to, rescue, and restore” all those who are negatively impacted by sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. Through the Outreach and Restoration programs, NightLight works directly with at-risk, exploited, and trafficked individuals across the Southwest region of Missouri, including the cities of Branson, Springfield, and surrounding suburban and rural areas.

The Lake of the Ozarks Stop Human Trafficking Coalition is a volunteer organization working collaboratively to increase awareness, identify causes, and support victims of trafficking. Coalition monthly meetings are scheduled from 6:30-8 p.m. and are held at St. George Episcopal Church, 423 N. Business Route 5, .4 of a mile from the Camdenton Square.

For more specific information call the church office at (573) 346-4686 or Micah Joseph, Vice President of Administration at (573) 286-4975.
