OSAGE BEACH, Mo. — A fight in Osage Beach could have been deadly, but the victim of a shotgun blast escaped with only minor injuries, according to Osage Beach Police.

Police say just after midnight on Aug. 4, 2016, officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Mace Road, after receiving a call about shots fired. When they arrived, police say they found a 32-year-old man trying to flee the scene. He was arrested without incident.

After an investigation, police say they discovered the suspect and a female had arrived at the residence, and the man had gotten into a fight with other individuals there. At one point, police say the man grabbed a shotgun out of his vehicle and fired at least three rounds. Pellets from one of those rounds hit a victim in the head, according to the report. That individual was treated at the scene and refused to be taken to the hospital.

The suspect is awaiting formal charges, and his name has not yet been released.
