LAKE OZARK, Mo. — A man is in custody after authorities say he fired a shot from a handgun on the Bagnell Dam Strip, on Saturday, March 30.

According to Lake Ozark Interim Police Chief James Boren, Lake Ozark Police arrested the man after a shot was fired. The incident occurred in front of the Rock Island Line bar, Boren said.

The man was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold.

No charging information was available on Sunday, March 31. Lake Expo will update this story as more information is released by authorities.

This marks the fourth gunfire incident on the Strip in as many years. In April 2021, a man was arrested after firing 12 rounds out of a vehicle. Later that year, a gun battle broke out in front of a restaurant on the Strip, involving two rival biker gangs and leaving one gang member dead. Then in 2022, two men were arrested after one reportedly fired shots from a vehicle; the men had been forced to leave a bar on the Strip and the shots were fired shortly after.
