Last week's unexpected snow storm caused 40 non-injury crashes in mid-Missouri alone, authorities have reported.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Troop F — which covers  Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Camden, Cole, Cooper, Gasconade, Howard, Miller, Moniteau, Montgomery, Morgan, and Osage counties — had already received 122 calls for service due to the snow, by mid-morning. This included 69 stranded motorists and 40 non-injury crashes.

The Highway Patrol encouraged everyone to stay home and avoid driving until roadway conditions improve.
