Meet The New Owners Carrying On Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center’s Local Legacy

  • 2 min to read

In 1995, Nancy Frasier opened Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center at 648 N Business Rte 5 in Camdenton. It was a one-person operation back in those days. But in the three decades since, Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center has become a beloved resource for hearing care at the Lake, with a long list of happy patients.

From hearing evaluations and hearing aids to hearing accessories, this independent clinic in Camdenton has built a reputation on old-fashioned values: trust and taking good care of folks. Those values won them a "Best of the Lake" award in 2026.

New owners Stephanie Tittle and James Wooten plan to continue that 31-year legacy.

Wondering where your hearing stands?

"When Nancy retired from practicing, she didn't want to sell out to a big business. She wanted to keep it local," said Tittle, a doctor of audiology.

Last year, Frasier reached out to Tittle, who has worked as an audiologist at Lake Regional Hospital and now works at the Department of Veterans Affairs. She and her husband, James Wooten, saw it as the perfect opportunity to keep Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center locally owned. They intend to work behind the scenes, maintaining the continuity of care through longtime providers John Fisher, BC-HIS; Tricia Barton, AAS-HIS; and Patient Care Coordinator Catrina Butts.

"We're your neighbors, and we look forward to continuing providing hearing care for our community," Tittle said.

With 4.9 stars on Google and more than 130 reviews, Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center is clearly a gem in the Lake's healthcare landscape...

Brought my dad here with a broken hearing aid that he bought in Florida. John took great care of dad who exclaimed “Nobody has ever tested my hearing that thoroughly before!”. Not only that but John helped him get a warranty replacement even though he didn’t sell them. -- Paul Imhoff

Tricia Barton is the [provider] that worked with me. She is the most genuinely kind person and she is very knowledgeable. She did a very thorough exam and found hearing aids that are perfect for me. She helped me learn how to use them and even set up the app. on my phone. She goes above and beyond seeing that her patients are happy with the hearing aid experience. Thank you Tricia for helping me hear better. You are great. 😊 -- J JRP

I have been using Lake Professional Hearing Air Center for a number of years as I know I can count on them to do the very best they can to help me achieve the result I need with my hearing condition. -- Mary Oakley

A hearing evaluation is generally the first step for someone concerned about their hearing. Whether the test simply establishes a baseline or identifies hearing loss, the team takes patients through each step.

More Than Hearing Aids

Offering a full line of full line of styles and manufacturers of hearing aids, Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center also provides follow-up care, routine maintenance, and repairs — even servicing many devices that weren't originally purchased from the center.

The team is focused on preventing hearing loss, too. Whether you're in a band, work construction, or enjoy trapshooting or woodworking, Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center can create custom hearing protection for your needs.

The biggest changes the community can expect under the new ownership? The building itself — the same location where Frasier started the practice — is getting some nice upgrades.

"We're getting a new business sign because the original signs blew down in the Fourth of July storms," Tittle explained. "Over the next couple of years, we're hoping to modernize the inside too, so everything is fresh."

A fresh look, and a time-tested approach built on trust and patient care: Lake Professional Hearing Aid Center's new owners are poised to keep that 31-year legacy going strong.
