Cold Weather Is Coming! Make Sure Your Lake Home’s Heating System Is Ready

  • 2 min to read

Cool mornings, chilly nights, and the first real cold snap of the season can make one thing clear fast: your heating system needs to be ready. At Lake of the Ozarks, fall is the time to make sure everything is working properly before winter temperatures settle in.

As we head into colder months, reliable heat isn’t just about comfort — it’s about making sure your home or business is prepared when temperatures drop.

Whether customers need a new installation, routine maintenance on their current system, or a repair, Scott’s Heating & Air has been providing service and communication to Lake-area customers for decades.

Scott’s Heating & Air has been serving the Lake community since 1964. Owner Chuck Breeden worked for the previous owner and bought the business from him in 1999. As a longstanding business at Lake of the Ozarks, Scott’s Heating & Air’s experienced technicians are ready to help keep homes and businesses comfortable through the changing seasons.

HVAC systems can fail for a variety of reasons, Breeden says. Among them:

  • Extreme temperatures
  • Failure to be regularly maintained
  • Running out of propane (for propane-driven systems)
  • Being low on freon
  • In need of cleaning

Crystal Blake, the operations manager at Scott’s Heating & Air, speaks directly with Lake clients when their systems stop working properly. Whether it’s a family dealing with a cold house or a business trying to keep customers comfortable, they take every case seriously.

“We want to go above and beyond for our clients,” Blake remarked.

Scott’s Heating & Air is more than just a business. They have been a vital part of the Lake community for over half a century and have built a reputation for treating their customers with respect and considering individual situations.

“We had an elderly woman who was on a fixed income and was told by another company that she needed to buy a new system because her system was older. We were able to research the problem and figure out that she didn’t need to pay for a new part and we were able to repair her current system,” Blake said.

Scott's Heating & Air provides regular updates until the job is done to ensure customers know what is happening at every step of the process.

No matter the season, no matter the reason, give Scott’s Heating & Air a call at 573-346-2876 or visit their website at ScottsHeatingCooling.com
