A local Eagle Scout project is making a lasting mark on Lake Ozark. John Hayes, a Boy Scout from Troop 21, is leading the effort to design, create, and install new Welcome Signs for the city.
Hayes brought his proposal to the Lake Ozark Board of Aldermen, presenting with confidence and earning unanimous support. Mayor Dennis Newberry praised his preparation and commitment, calling the project a great addition to the town.
Engraving for the signs was recently completed at the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation, thanks to help from Justin Tattitch, his Aunt Becky Brajner, and a dedicated team of volunteers, including fellow scouts and family.
