MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — A manhunt near Highway 42 and Highway D has disrupted the end of the school day for some School of the Osage students.

According to SOTO Superintendent Brent Depeé, authorities are searching for a suspect in the area, so three school buses which would normally drop off students in that region have been held back at the Upper Elementary campus, along with the students that ride those buses. Those bus numbers are 15, 24, and 32.

Depeé said parents/guardians whose children ride one of those buses can pick up their children at the Upper Elementary campus, but will need to bring proper ID.

Other buses are running their normal routes and schools have been released otherwise.
