Somehow, the lineup at Ozarks Amphitheater — Lake of the Ozarks’ 10,000-seat, open-air concert venue — gets better every year.
It makes sense: as bands see success at the venue, more booking agents are eyeing a stopover at Lake of the Ozarks in planning their summer tours. And at Ozarks Amphitheater, bands are met with a huge welcome.
“We sold out four shows last year,” said Director of Operations Mary Kay Von Brendel. The amphitheater originally only allowed seating for 5,000 due to parking capacity, but as more top-tier acts make their way to the Ozarks, they’ve had to add more parking and open up more seats. Sellable capacity was at 6,300 for the last 2 years, and they've expanded to 7,500 for 2023.
And despite the office and concession building fire in April, the Ozarks Amphitheater team is promising the incident won’t impact the summer season schedule. The main effect was to the office facilities, and Von Brendel says they’ve moved their offices up the road for now. And the amphitheater has other concession facilities to serve guests. Of course, they’re working overtime to have the place ready for the first concert of the season: Breaking Benjamin with special guest Bush, on Thursday, May 11.
This year, Ozarks Amphitheater’s schedule brings a few familiar favorites for return appearances, as well as many who fans may have heard on the radio but never seen in-person.
