LAKE OF THE OZARKS, MO — The Lake of the Ozarks is under a heat advisory from 1 p.m. Monday, July 29, to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 1.
The National Weather Service (NWS) warns that high temperatures and humidity may cause heat-related illnesses. To stay safe this week, drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and avoid direct sunlight.
According to the NWS, highs in the upper 90s will result in a heat index between 100 and 110 degrees.
Additionally, scattered thunderstorms with limited lightning risk are expected across Missouri on Monday and Monday night, July 29.
