Helen Maxine Cullen Obituary

Helen Maxine Cullen, daughter of Morgan Riley Pope and Marie Edith Pope (Armstrong), was born, October 20, 1941 in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life on her birthday, October 20, 2026, in Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-five years.

On June 24, 1957 she was united in marriage to WB Cullen and together they shared sixty years of marriage until WB’s passing in 2017.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; WB; her sisters, Joan Brant, Margaret Pope, Darlene Webb, and Irene Chastain; and her brother, Richard Pope.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Sue Hagner and husband Derek, Lois Marie Cullen, and Christina Crothers and husband Bill; son, Everett R. Cullen and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Machelle Bates, Jeremy Branch and wife Diana, Brittany Branch, Jason Peters and wife Colleen, Justin Swadley and wife Tara, Jessica Thompson and husband Matt, Brandon Goring and wife Ashley, Jacob Cullen and wife Kelsi, Hunter Cullen, Logan Jones and wife Timber, and Kaitlyn Gerlt and husband William; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Helen was raised in Lebanon, Missouri where she attended school and married WB.

She took pride in being a great waitress at many local restaurants and enjoyed quilting in her spare time.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
