Carolyn M. Thomas, 86, Osage Beach, MO passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO.

Carolyn was born on February 10, 1940, in Joplin, MO, to Wilson and Claire (Breckenridge) Miller. She was a 1957 graduate of University City High School, and attended college at Washington University.

Carolyn was married to Ronald Thomas on January 29, 1960. In 1961, they moved to Downers Grove, Illinois, where they made their home.

Carolyn built a career in real estate and real estate development. In 2001, she relocated to the Lake of the Ozarks, where she began a new chapter of her life.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, bowling, games, creating art, and time with friends. Carolyn also was involved with various clubs, enjoying many different pursuits and meeting new friends through them. This brought her joy and provided opportunities to relax and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

Survivors include her daughters, Patti (Keith) and Dawn (Keith) and her siblings, Tom, Jean, Barbara, Martha (Wayne), and Iva (Wilson). She loved her grandchildren, Matthew, Adrian (Catalina), Brittany (Anthony) and Rowan, great grandchildren, Hannah, Sophia and William, Matthew, Olive and Quinn, and her many nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Claire; husband, Ronald; son-in-law Keith; her brother Wilson (Woody); and brothers-in law Myron (Mike) and Richard.

Carolyn will be sorely missed by her family and friends

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
