Former Lake Ozark Mayor Johnnie Franzeskos plans to run against current Mayor Gerry Murawski, in the April 6 General Municipal Election.

In signups for the election, two contests have emerged and there’s a full slate of candidates for all offices.

Incumbent Mayor Gerry Murawski has filed for re-election and will be challenged by former mayor Johnnie Franzeskos who was defeated by Murawski two years ago.

In Ward 3, incumbent Alderman Vernon Jaycox has filed for re-election and will be opposed by Matt Wright.

Incumbent Judy Neels has filed for re-election in Ward 1

Ward 2 incumbent Larry Giampa has also filed for re-election.

Filings end Jan. 19. Anyone interested can sign up at City Hall, 3162 Bagnell Dam Blvd.
