WELDON SPRING, Mo. — Missouri Senator Bill Eigel has announced strong campaign fundraising so far in his 2024 bid for Missouri governor.

The three Republican candidates for governor are Bill Eigel, Jay Ashcroft, and Mike Kehoe.

Eigel's Campaign Committee announced Wednesday it had officially surpassed Jay Ashcroft’s candidate committee in cash on hand – outraising Ashcroft 3:1 across the board. "Of the three candidates, Bill Eigel raised the most into his candidate committee," the committee said in a press release, adding, "The average donation to Eigel for Missouri is $19."

"Our campaign is receiving unprecedented grassroots support, and on a financial level, we have now surpassed Jay Ashcroft in cash on hand," said Eigel said. "My message is this: I am the reckoning that will take on the Swamp. I am not the corporatists’ choice. I wasn’t born into a political monarchy. I’ve waged war against the special interest machine in Jefferson City and am despised for it. When I’m governor, there will be hell to pay."

In the fourth campaign quarter, Eigel’s Campaign Committee, Eigel for Missouri, brought in $329,000 and Believe in Life and Liberty (BILL) PAC, which is supporting Eigel’s efforts, brought in over $291,000. The total fundraising haul amounts to more than $620,000 for the fourth quarter, with $1.63M cash on hand as the race heads into spring.
